You understand that creating a good product and good technology is hard, and enjoy the challenge of consistently improving the platform and infrastructure. You recognise to be able to build great things, you need to be experienced in managing a team of developers, project managers and technical experts. You have excellent verbal and written skills and feel relaxed juggling many balls simultaneously.

What you’ll be doing…

  • Providing hands-on and quality leadership to our technology function. This includes line management responsibility to several areas: Architecture, Infrastructure & DevOps, QA, SysAdmin and IT Security.  This includes all areas of leadership from recruitment, task assignments, skills development to software and infrastructure delivery.
  • Overseeing the infrastructure of technical operations
  • Lead the development and management of the company's technological plans
  • Overseeing data security and management
  • Leading the maintenance of the company's network
  • Envisioning how different forms of technology will be used throughout the company
  • Implementing the businesses' technical strategy and managing the overall technology roadmap of the business
  • Researching ways the company's technological assets can be improved
  • Maintaining current and creating new networking safeguards that prevent security breaches and keep client information confidential
  • Assessing whether new technologies are appropriate for the company to use
  • Ensuring technologies currently in use are efficient and making changes wherever necessary
  • This role reports to the CEO / CTO

You’ll need to…

  • Be an impactful, innovative and collaborative Technology leader, ideally with experience within the Media/Advertising sectors with at least 10+ years of leadership experience
  • Possess a positive attitude and energy for working in a fast growth/scaling business environment
  • Have strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a track-record of using data in decision-making
  • Be an intellectually curious individual who thrives on problem-solving
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Be a clear and impactful communicator who can easily adapt their approach to a diverse audience, whether that’s with internal or external stakeholders
  • Be a superb manager with a high degree of empathy that supports the creation of a collaborative and productive environment where the teams are able to do their best work
  • Have a strong bias for execution, focused on outcomes. You will be comfortable “showing” rather than “telling” your teams how things are done to an extremely high standard
  • Be dynamic in style and approach. You are able to thrive in a changing environment and able to set out the best way to deliver on goals in a rapidly evolving market
  • Be structured and organised, able to handle the competing long-term demands of strategic initiatives and urgent short-term tasks
  • Ensure effective hiring practices so that you can build the right team to work for you and further the company's aims
  • Have the ability to constantly educate yourself so that you’re up-to-date with the latest technological advances
  • Have the ability to research and predict the ways that different technologies can impact the organisation's development
  • Comfortable with SQL and strong knowledge of .NET, C#, HTML
  • Have strong Excel knowledge (VBA desired)
  • Ideally you would have previous experience integrating Facebook marketing API or Google Adwords API (desirable)
  • Be responsive to constructive feedback
  • Have a passionate thirst for knowledge and belief that technology can make businesses run smarter
  • Demonstrate you can plan and strategise at a senior level
  • Have a persuasive and confident approach to projects
  • Be a strong team player with the ability to work autonomously
  • Have excellent written and oral communication skills, including great attention to detail
  • Have experience of Angular, JQuery and Typescript (nice to have)
  • Have experience in some or all of the following: multi-dimensional and tabular cubes, MDX/DAX, CSS/SASS (nice to have)
